In the electronic connector consumer industry, FPC is a common electronic component, which is generally used to connect the LCD screen to the driver circuit (PCB). FPC connectors are accurately distinguished, among which FPC is only a part of electronic components.
FPC is the abbreviation of English Flex Printed Circuit, translated into Chinese as flexible printed circuit board. This product is a combination of insulation with flexible printed circuit board and copper foil as basic raw materials. This product is a flexible flat cable made of a PET insulating material and an extremely thin flat copper wire. The following points are aimed at the product knowledge of FPC connector, and introduce the model types of FPC connector from the mating mode, insertion force and frame opening direction applied to PCB.

Differentiate FPC connector types according to PCB mating mode;
1. SMD -SMT: solder paste and temporarily attached parts feet are printed by using board pads, and then the solder joints can be formed by Reflow.
2. Pin insertion -DIP: punch holes in the PCB, pass connector pins through holes in the PCB, and then fix them by soldering.
According to the insertion force, FPC connector models are classified as follows:
ZIF (zero insertion force) is divided into front lift type, back lift type and drawer type.
2.Non-ZIF (low insertion force).
Differentiate FPC connector types according to the direction of frame opening:
1. Horizontal type (R/A): the opening of the frame is sideways, and the flat cable is
inserted into the connector from the side, which can be divided into upper contact, first contact and double contact.
2. Vertical (V/T): The frame mouth is upward, and the flat cable is inserted from above the connector.
